The Guy’s Guide to the A Game

I wanted to find out if anyone has been to any of the various seduction guru’s bootcamps? My friend is leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow to attend Mystery’s weekend boot camp and I’m excited to find out what he has to report? So has anyone been to any of the following boot camps:

or any other the smaller boot camps

Let everyone know how much it cost, what your experience was, and whether you would recommend the program to a friend.

I think I hit on something this weekend that works really well for me and wanted to share it.

I conciously didn’t get any phone numbers last weekend, but since I got my new business cards and my personal # isn’t on the card (SkypeIn #), I’ve just been handing them out and telling women to give me a call.

I went to a dive bar on Thur, fashion show on Fri, club on Sat. I’m somewhat picky, so I handed out six business cards and just told them to give me a call. Never asked for their info, but TOLD them to call me.

It’s Tue and three of the six have left messages trying to arrange to hang out (or something I mentioned that we might do together - salsa, bike riding, etc.). More may eventually call back, bringing my avegage well above .500.

It wasn’t like I was running around handing out bunches of business cards either. I screen and qualify pretty agressively and that’s part of my DHV. They don’t see me handing cards out to anyone else. After I fluff and screen for a while I hand them my card and say:

“Call me, we’ll get together, it’ll be fun…. I gotta get back to my friend other there, he gets into trouble if I don’t keep an eye on him. Pleasure meeting you…”

If they say “I don’t call guys”. Which I oddly didn’t get this weekend, but def have in the past, I might say “Well consider it a little souvenier from the one who got away… Pleasure meeting you…”

Most women understand the “one who got away” line. A lot of guys don’t seem to get it. I’ve probably gotten call backs from using that line, but I can’t remember.

I think it’s a pretty powerful frame to just hand a woman your business card after talking to her for 5-10 and then telling her to call you.

I’ll probably take one of these lucky women to a premiere party on Wed and if it goes well, great. If not, I’ll pawn her since there will be plenty of young models there.

I’m curious on whether anyone actually uses some of the lines or Openers from The Game by Neil Strauss. Here are some examples:

Last October I spent an evening trying these out because I thought they were lame, but hey, if they work for the guys in The Game, maybe I was missing something. I tried all three maybe ten times a piece and while some of them did all that they’re supposed to do, which is just create an Opening, the majority of the time women just looked at me like I was a complete idiot.

I have an extremely high success rate with Openers because I say something in context with where I’m at or what I’m doing. I don’t just ask every group of women at a bar the exact same question that I memorized earlier that night. It could be that I didn’t believe in these lines to begin with or they may just actually be shitty Openers.

So, I want to open this up to everyone and ask if anyone has used these Openers and if they had any success with them???

Keeping an open mind is, in essence, about being outcome independent and enjoying the ride that life offers. In practical terms that means talking to people just for the sake of talking to them and having a good time at it. If anything interesting or exciting spawns from talking to someone, it should be considered an additional benefit, not a given.

Keeping an open mind means not only treating the beautiful women of the world as regular people, but also treating everyone else, including unattractive women, as regular people. Talk to everyone, have fun, and don’t burn bridges just because you don’t see immediate payoff. In other words, keep yourself open to any and all possibilities.

Some guys, when they find themselves talking to a woman isn’t very interesting or good looking, treat her poorly to they can quickly move on to someone “better”. Someone who is open minded about the situation may not be attracted to a woman, but might ask her to introduce him to her cute friends. If he likes what he sees he might invite her and her friends along to the next club and from there the possibilities are endless.

By talking to everyone and always keeping your mind open to the possibilities, you can find yourself in fun and interesting situations you might never have expected to be in. For instance, the average woman that you joked around with might invite you to a party she’s having that’s swarming with her single girlfriends. Or she might introduce you to her cute friend across the bar. Or she might grab you and her bisexual girlfriend and take you home for the night. You can always turn down these options, but they’re certainly nice to have.

Another good reason to have an open mind is to keep your confidence up when you get rejected. Even the most gifted seducers get rejected, but instead of dwelling on what they might have done wrong, they assume it must have been the circumstances that were off. Maybe she just got fired or failed a class. Perhaps she lost a family member recently. You could remind her of her last boyfriend or maybe she still has a boyfriend. She could have been approached by ten others guys that night. There are thousands of reasons why your rejection had less to do with how you look or what you said, but with her frame of mind.

If, after a rejection, you still have difficulty keeping an open mind, always remind yourself that women love men just as much as men love women. Women also love sex just as much as men do and if they have to find someone to have fun with, it might as well be you. And no matter how hard of a shell women put forward to prevent themselves from getting hurt, they all have a soft spot inside that they desperately want found.

Most men give far too much awe and admiration to women they hardly know based solely on their looks. Guys get so intimidated by beautiful women that they literally freeze in their tracks like a dear in headlights because they place more weight on talking to women than they should. Some guys think that they have to impress a woman within the first few minutes of meeting her because they’ve built up a conversation into a momentous make or break event. In actuality, is doesn’t always matters what you say, so long as you say something.

Acting before analyzing is a major sticking point for most guys. One or more of the Myths usually pre-occupies a guy’s mind while he contemplates if or how he should approach someone. In the first few seconds that she notices you noticing her, you’ve missed a great opportunity. You want to catch a woman by surprise by approaching and Opening before she has a chance to start analyzing you. The best way to make sure you approach instead of stare is to employ the three second rule.

The point of the three second rule is used to avoid hesitating by encouraging you to approach women fast enough to keep you from talking yourself out of it. You do not want a woman to see you hesitate because the longer you hesitate, the more insecure and/or creepy you appear. Also, hesitation creates an added sense of nervousness to your mental state and gives a woman time to size you up and possibly decide not to talk to you - a personality trait you do not want to portray when approaching women.

The three second rule essentially states that once a man spots a woman he’s attracted to who gives him eye contact or a smile, he has three seconds to approach and Open her. If a guy waits any longer, because he hesitated, his chance of successfully Opening her is greatly diminished, almost to the point that he shouldn’t bother approaching. Once a guy misses his “window of opportunity” he’ll have a difficult time coming across as a sincere guy who is approaching out of attraction. Instead, the longer he waits and stares and shuffles, he looks more like someone on the prowl looking for the first woman who might say “yes” to him.

Of course it takes more than merely approaching in three seconds to successfully Open a woman. It definitely matters what you say after those three seconds, but in the event that you have nothing to say, say anything! You’ll either succeed or you’ll learn until you’ve learned so much that you almost always succeed.

I’m getting a lot of hits to the blog, but virtually no comments. I’d like to get a little feedback on whether what I’ve been writing it helpful. With so much competition out there from other guys, it’s no secret that you have to make a great first impression to attract a woman’s attention. First impressions happen every time you meet someone and it’s those impressions that influence how women will view you for as long as you know each other. Even if a woman forgets the particular event or circumstances of your first encounter, the feeling you left her with, if any at all, drives her future expectations of you. For example, if you made a woman laugh during the first few minutes you met, she’ll tend to think of you as hilarious even if you don’t make her laugh the next time you meet.

First impressions are largely based on two things, how you look and how you act. For a lot of guys, how they look directly influences how they act, meaning if they feel they look really good, they have a lot of confidence in themselves and if they feel they don’t very look good, they’re insecure and hindered by self-doubt. If you want to be able to talk to women everywhere, you have to be primed at all times, both in how you look and how you feel. People meet each other in the strangest and most unexpected of places, so you’ll never really know when to look and feel your best. With that said, you should aim to look and feel your best as much as possible.

Of course not everyone is blessed with a model’s genetics, but you can still make the best of what you’ve got. Whatever your greatest attributes are, you have to learn how to make them shine like diamonds. It also helps to bring your perceived weak points up to a reasonable standard so you they don’t mentally drag you down. Looking your best also includes holding a confident posture, maintaining your hygiene (showers, brushing, nail clipping), eating well, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. It usually takes more than nice clothes to feel your best, so consider a healthy diet and occasional trips to the gym as a foundation for the positive, playful attitude you need to attract women.

Looking good means different things to different people, but it’s what it means to you that determine how good you feel about yourself. Some women like thick stubble on a guy’s face and artsy distressed clothing while other women prefer the neat and clean preppy look, among many others. It’s impossible to cultivate a look that attracts all women, so you should concentrate on clothes you like to wear, that you look good in, and also work well in the places you frequent.

First impressions mean a lot and you don’t want pit stains or long nails to prevent you from meeting a wonderful new woman. It’s sometimes just the little details on an otherwise decent looking guy that can make or break is ability to meet and attract women. From head to toe, even if you aren’t wearing the latest fashions, make sure what you wear looks good on you and doesn’t distract women from focusing on your fun personality. As with the other rules, this rule applies any time you leave the house, because you never know when an opportunity might present itself.

Owning your attitude means accepting reality, your place in it, and your ability to define how you feel about. Nobody makes you angry or sad or happy, you have complete control over how you feel. By accepting this, you can always approach women with a confident, yet playful attitude regardless of how your last ten approaches went or your big breakup or whatever issues are “making” you treat a fresh face as anything other than an opportunity to get to know someone new. If you already love your single life, it will be much easier to own your attitude.

One of best ways to know whether you own your attitude is how reactive you are to the events around you. When something “bad” happens, like getting rejected by a women, how do you respond? A lot of guys internalize their reactions, especially negative ones, when things don’t go according to plan. Instead of dealing directly with a situation and trying to determine how they might have contributed to the problem and how they can improve their situation, they blame others. They might blame a woman, their friends, their parents, or this book because it’s easier than dealing with problems and inadequacies head-on.

Owning your attitude is about taking complete responsibility for how you feel and how you act. Once you take responsibility, you start to appreciate how liberated you are from the natural ups and downs in life by realizing that your emotions don’t have to follow the same roller coaster ride. Shit happens, but it’s up to you to determine if it’s truly “shitty” or just “one of those things you learn from”. This applies not only to meeting women, but to every facet of your life. Next time something bad happens, try not to internalize any negative feelings or lash out at people, but calmly remind yourself that you’re just along for the ride.

Another important aspect of owning your attitude is being honest. Some very successful seducers get away with making up entire life stories to suit a situation. However, that approach can eats away at your confidence because you begin to lose respect for yourself because you’ve lost the “real” you. In the long term, honesty truly is the best policy. Honesty doesn’t mean telling a woman she looks fat in those pants. Rather, it means being upfront with people about who you are and what you’re looking for when it comes to sex and relationships. Not only are you owning your attitude but owning up to your word.

Many men, and woman for that matter, view romantic relationships as something to fill the void in their lives. They think that once they get a girlfriend they will “have something to do.” With this mindset, everything you say and do will drip with desperation rooted in the fact that you have no life, or one that you don’t enjoy. Loving your single life means that you have friends and hobbies that you enjoy and having a woman in your life is a nice to have, not a must have. Guys with a vibrant single life are very attractive to women who want to find out “what he’s all about.”

Guys who haven’t been successful with women for most of their lives usually aren’t very happy with other aspects of their lives. Over the years, guys can get caught in a vicious cycle of letting themselves go, physically and mentally, until they have very little chance of attracting the types of women they prefer. After a few initial failures with women, some guys retreat entirely from any form of social interaction, preferring to play video games, eat fast food every night, and addressing only the bare minimums of personal hygiene.

Guys who let their lives deteriorate to hermit status can’t simply memorize an Opener and expect it to work. It takes more than a well-delivered Opener to catch a woman’s attention and it starts with loving the life you’re currently leading. True there are people who absolutely love playing video games all night, by themselves, surrounded by takeout containers. Since you’re reading this book, you probably don’t fall into that category and hopefully you have the capacity to admit to yourself whether you’re enjoying life or think that your life could use some improving.

If you don’t really like the life you’re leading at the moment, all is not lost. There are steps you can take, small and large, to improve how you view yourself and your circumstances. Whether you have a lot of disposable income or not, the goal is to completely fill your life with so many activities that you enjoy that you have to figure out how to fit a woman into your life. You want to be in a position where you choose to get involved with someone because it might make your life even better.

Whatever it is you love to do, might love to do, or used to love doing are all areas you should explore in your community. Log off and open an alternative weekly paper from your area and find people, places, and events that match your loves. It can be difficult to connect with random people, but it can be significantly easier if you stack the odds in your favor by frequenting the places you enjoy doing what you love to do.

Loving your single life gives you much more confidence when meeting women. Since you already love your life, you aren’t looking for a woman to “complete” you and you won’t be desperate for any particular interaction to lead to a phone number or more. When you’re living and loving your life, women notice and they’re curious about why you have such a good time doing everything you do.
